PREFECTURE

  • At the Prefecture the Apostille is applied on the original of the administrative official documents.

  • The Apostille can be obtained only at the Prefecture from the county where the holder of the document has the residence or the headquarters of the institution that issues the document.

  • We can represent you in order to obtain the Apostille in Dolj county, so you no longer need to do all the roads.

Mention: The documents of studies can get the Apostille on the original document only after they had been certified by the competent institution within the Ministry of Education.

COURT

  • At Court the Apostille can be applied on the original documents that had been issued by the Ministry of Justice (Judges, Trade Register Office)

  • The Apostille from Court can be obtained in the county where the document had been issued.

CHAMBER OF NOTARIES:

Info: The Apostillation consists of the application of a seal (Apostille) by the competent authorities of a state that is part of the Hague Convention on the official documents that are issued in that country and that will be shown on the territory of another signatory state of the Convention. The Apostille cannot be applied in Romania for documents that are issued in other countries.

The judgments must be legalized by Court that ruled and they must be signed with name in print by the court clerk that legalizes the judgment or by the president of the Court and they must bear the seal of the President.

Starting with November 26th 2010 notarized documents (including the translations of legalized notarized copies) do no longer get an Apostille through Court, but through Chamber of Notaries Public.
